Permanent ink

If you don’t have descendants or ascendants, lifetime friends in the vicinity, a job that fulfills you, the landscape you grew up in or the ability to express yourself to the fullest:

[and probably if you do have them either]

— it’s the meaningful gestures of your communities’ members that clearly broaden the horizon. The ones able to draw - with invisible but permanent ink - steady links of belonging. Those also called anchors, which may engage you in a common long-term future. Whenever I’m strong enough not to linger on the surface, I try to keep an eye on those vital connections that one is capable of generating, sustaining and really appreciating. Sometimes it’s scary to realize what is actually driving hope, but truthful ascertainments are always preferable to any kind of illusion, no matter how comforting or exciting this might be. Whether small or grand, I’m specially glad for all of those beautiful (mostly unexpected) gestures this year. Beauty really does lie in the eye of the beholder.

Happy new life in 2021!
