‘All's Well That Ends Well’

A guy who could be Leo from That 70s Show* just took our picture at the canal. We had grabbed a Casolare pizza and Fritz lemonades by the Admiral Brücke and had just sat down to commune by the swans, when he appeared from behind the bushes with his Polaroid, offering portraits on the spot. It was almost sunset, or so it felt like, as some heat was now shining low over the cool breeze upon the water, while small boats and canoes passed by, still full of smiling people. It was one of those sweet moments when the power of fully being in the here and now in communion reveals itself, manifesting the absolute meaning of existence. Were I not generally sceptical and I would name such a magical feeling an exquisite trick of the universe, but I call it peace and love in the midst of the emotional exhaustion that I’ve been in for the past days, preparing for the last three weeks dismantling home, in Berlin.
